Gelement update #4

Hello! This month, I worked on refining the games base combat system. There are still some things I want to improve on here, like animations and enemy AI, but for now I think the system is working pretty smoothly!


When exploring as Prim, you'll encounter foes of all shapes and sizes - some flying, some crawling, and some swimming. Being able to fight back is key - and while many of Prim's moves are unlocked with later color forms, you always will have a couple key actions available to you.


Up close, Prim can swipe at enemies with their weapon. While low in range, this quick performing attack will be your go-to in most fights.



For more precarious or far away enemies however, Prim can use their dash attack! From closing the gap between a foe, to hitting a cluster of baddies all at once, the dash attack sees to help round out Prim's base move set and provide more base options for the player.




But even though these moves will always be some of the best options in combat, Prim will be able to more efficiently take advantage of weaknesses as their move set is expanded with whips, spits, and dives.
